This movie is directed by the same person who created 5 Centimeters per Second, so the quality is obviously there. This story is narrated in one 25 minute OVA. It doesn’t sound like you can fit much into that, but director Mikato Shinkai does a fantastic job and has placed yet another story up there with the best of them. Some of the best artists and/or writers are able to convey their message with either very few strokes of the brush or very few lines or paragraphs. Well Mikato Shinkai delivers a beautiful and top notch story in 25 minutes. That makes him one of the best anime directors in my book.

Now this is entertainment. If you are looking for a break from serious anime or even fighting oriented anime, than look no further. You always need a good comedy series now and then and School Rumble is the perfect place to get that. I have to credit my brother for turning me on to this one. He was raving about it so I had to check it out. I was not disappointed.
The story revolves around a delinquent named Harima. Harima is the anti-hero of sorts. He matured faster than all the other kids, for example he is larger than older kids and already has facial hair!

Well what can we say about Final Fantasy VII and its ever increasing compilation of games, movies, etc. All the Final Fantasy titles are held in high regard, but to be at the top of them all is truly saying something. None can dispute the superiority of this story over all the other Final Fantasies and this is evidenced in the number of spin-offs, prequels, sequels, side stories, etc. that have been given their own media. Advent Children is a sequel to the original story and for the most part, it does not disappoint.

Samuel L. Jackson in Anime? Maybe there is hope for this world after all! This funky and violent mix storytelling really succeeded and I think in some ways it broke new ground. It will appeal to a lot of people who never really took interest in cartoons before and is more enjoyable to a mainstream audience of not just anime fans, but your average person …somewhat. We have the amazing beats by RZA and the legendary voice of Samuel L. Jackson to thank for that.

Not your conventional anime. Beck grows on you quickly and it will really appear to music lovers, more specifically guitar players. I haven’t run into any other anime show like this and that is part of what makes the Beck experience so special. It’s uniqueness and originality are really what set it apart from any other series.

Interstellar5555 is basically a compilation of music videos set to Daft Punk’s album Discovery. The sound is killer and Daft Punk’s HAVE TO SEE THIS. It is a pretty cool way to tell a story. There is absolutely no dialogue as the songs are the only thing that convey the tone and mood of the story. It works very well and is worth the watch for fans of this particular music genre and for people who want to try something new.

If you haven't, you need to go check out the international classic Seven Samurai. It is one of the greatest movies of all time and possibly the greatest movie to ever come out of Japan. The anime Samurai 7, pays homage to this classic and recreates the story in a futuristic setting with a few tweaks to the plot. The premise is basically the same as seven samurai come together to fight, all the while going through their own personal confrontations with themselves and each other.

Gundam 00 is on par with the best of the Gundam series in my opinion. I absolutley love this show. Perhaps part of the reason is that this is the first Gundam series to be illustrated in high definition, but there is so much more to it.
