::: Final Fantasy VII Advent Children :::

Well what can we say about Final Fantasy VII and its ever increasing compilation of games, movies, etc. All the Final Fantasy titles are held in high regard, but to be at the top of them all is truly saying something. None can dispute the superiority of this story over all the other Final Fantasies and this is evidenced in the number of spin-offs, prequels, sequels, side stories, etc. that have been given their own media. Advent Children is a sequel to the original story and for the most part, it does not disappoint.

The story takes place two years after the events of Final Fantasy VII. The world is starting to recover from the events of our the story that this one follows, but things are not as good as they appear. A new sickness called Geo-Stigma is spreading and three mysterious men have appeared, claiming to seek their “mother” Jenova. What unfolds are a number of events that have a potential to result in the revival of Cloud’s arch enemy Sephiroth. We get to see a whole host of characters from the original story, but the plot revolves around Cloud and his inner struggle with his dark side and with forgiving himself for what happened to Aeris.

The movie is in 3D and delivers action unlike any other series or movie out there. I mean it just doesn’t get better than this and the action is reason enough to see the movie. It’s pure hotness. The sound is what you would expect of a Final Fantasy production. Dramatic and all, but appropriate and tone setting.

If you are a Final Fantasy fan then I just don’t see how you couldn’t love this movie. I just can’t see it. This is every Final Fantasy fan’s dream come true and quite frankly most anime fans would be hard pressed not to like this. If you haven’t seen this. Go see it!
