::: Mobile Suit Gundam 00 Season 1 :::

Gundam 00 is on par with the best of the Gundam series in my opinion. I absolutley love this show. Perhaps part of the reason is that this is the first Gundam series to be illustrated in high definition, but there is so much more to it. I haven't seen Gundam Seed yet, which by all accounts is a remarkable series in itself, but I still say that this show makes a claim for being the best Gundam series yet.

In the typical futuristic setting that we have come to expect from the Gundam Franchise, the world is in chaos. The Earth is divided into three major factions that are all at odds with each other. This is where the Gundams come in. As part of a group called Celestial Being the four Gundams and their pilots attack everyone indiscriminantly with a goal to unite the world. Celestial Being subscribes to the idea that nothing unites people more than a common enemy. They make themselves the targets so that all of Earth's nations will come together and war will forever be eradicated, in theory anyway. The story is pretty similair to a few other Gundam series but its different in its own way. The Gundams themselves are very unique and very cool. They each have their own individual strengths and weaknesses that are reflected in their appearance. The characters are also very interesting and we still have more to learn about them as Season 2 begins.

This is the first series in the Gundam franchise to be in high definition and it does not dissapoint! The gundams themselves look awesome and the battles are epic. It was a needed transition for the series and it went very well.

The show is solid from character development, plot, and visual standpoints. It is a Gundam series so you kind of know what to expect. Its very solid an a must watch. Don't have much else to say because I don't need to. GO WATCH IT!!
