Jason Sims
Born February. 6, 1980
I began writing at the age of 10, it became my therapy to escape or just express myself.
I lived a harsh child hood, I kept many things to myself, maybe because I just didn't how to talk about it so I put everything in writing.
I was heavily influenced by music and the stories I heard thru music.
Just like many songwriters and even rappers, writing poetry became my way to talk to the world, sometimes just for me.
My style of writing has a rhythm to it seeing that I was influenced by different types of music including hip-hop.
Today I’m 28 years old and still have a lot to say, every day that goes by is a new experience.

::: My Poetry :::

See what I do is basically rap without a beat/but if you put music behind my words I’m labeled a thug or a thief. The art of hip-hop came about of the struggle of my people/different states of mind, but united...and united we are equal. I chose the art of spoken word because I can stay closer to the truth/and still be real to my troops.
I don’t like to be labeled but I guess you can call me an mc, because an mc stays true to the game/ a rapper is in it for the money and fame. Now a days you have to get shot nine to get ahead/sell crack to the kids or get chased by the feds. See, if you grew up in the ghetto there’s always a story to tell/ I’ve heard before that... there’s different levels of hell.
Not that I believe it exist, but if it did than I’ve been there and back/ If its a place of suffering then I’m right were it’s at. because I feel the burn every time I see my people in pain, it drives me insane/ sometimes it got me feeling like Tupac...things will never change.
