::: Evil Begets Evil :::

Oh, what a web we weave
Of entangled lies and bittersweet memories.

Now, the time has come
To purge the mind and heart of love’s desolation
A sweet refrain.

What was so wonderful
Has vanished into the thickening haze
Of life’s twists and turns.

Going at full speed
Passion’s infinite embrace
In just a moment’s time.

What romance lay ahead?
Is it another tease?
I venture to go
To hope’s distance.
