I am crumpled up as a leaf
plucked and exposed to the sun.
Withdrawn with all my faculties
shriveled and numb.
Waiting for you to breathe
life into me like a balloon.
Expanding, then lifting off
past the clouds and moon.
Before being pulled into
your gravity of Venus.
Will you be there to greet me?
Will you study the leaves
to divine weightlessness?
Your mercy has taught me to fly
past the stars of our ancestors,
past the violet transmuting flame,
to the corners of the universe.
We can become pure space
or simply the semi-fermented oolong
that makes for a great cup.

This is my favorite cup of tea. I find that when I drink Ti Kwan Yin, I feel calm, lightweight, and sometimes get the out of body sensation of flying.
