::: Plain of Uncertainty :::

Why should I make camp
on the plain of uncertainty?
Why set up my easel
and splash your colors on canvas?
Have not the wild horses
been corralled and broken?
Haven’t we turned the fields
into Wal-Mart parking lots?
If I put brush to paint
all you’ll get now is black asphalt,
double yellow lines and billboards.
Do you really wish
for me to go down that road?
America, the beautiful.
God spread his streets on thee.
