Theresa Gage

Art and writing have been Theresa Gage's passion and stress reliever. She enjoys nature and much of her writing reflects that. When she is not working as a nurse, Theresa likes to nurture her garden. She has kept busy as the vender coordinator at her church's bazaar the last three years, besides taking care of elderly parents with Alzheimer's. Theresa recently graduated from the Institute of Children's Literature and also has certificates of writing through Green River Community College. Poet's Art Magazine is publishing two of her poems, The Visitor and The Storm this December.

::: THE ROCK :::

You were the boulder braving the current of the sea.
We lavished at your side like starfish clinging on.
You remained strong for us, our focus, our support.
We couldn't picture life without you, but like an earthquake
erupting, you crumbled bit by bit, chip by chip, until you were gone.
Mother lost her mind without you.
Brother lost his way
and I miss you everyday.
