::: 911 :::

Can you hear it commin' beneath your conscience,
in the voices to afraid to venture out
between the censored thought emissions
and cracks in the air outside.
Can you hear it commin' in all the discorded
cries of wounded earth,
through the hole in the sky,
in the crumbling walls which no longer allow privacy;
in the erosion of truth into irony.
Detention centers are now made out of freedom,
debt has become the modern day form of slavery
and prison fires ignited by politicians
keep all of us contained in maximum security.
It is commin' in the wind,
commin' in the silence of night.
It is not on television nor will it be found on the radio.
If you say too much you are suspect,
If you say nothing at all you are complicit.
If you do not see or hear it commin
chances are its all ready here...
