::: Waldheim :::

I sat within the forest dark
Mid towering trees with branches dead
On foliage slimy, wet, and cold
I can’t remember how I knew
This place was very old

The silence roared within my mind
Of loneliness it told
Of loss! Of fear! Of emptiness!
This place is very old

A mothers’ arms embracing me
With love do they enfold?
No such memory comes you see
This place is very old

I think I know from whence I came
With lizard, snake, and toad
From fungi spore and other things
Third place is very old.
