::: ‘Til Death Do Us :::

It was just a kiss
A brief hello
A moment of flirtation

We shared that night
Just her and I
In dreamy celebration

With mornings’ light
When she was gone
I hardly had a care

Except that everything I did
A thought of her was there

The years have gone
The stories’ short
A lifetime full of pain

It’s mine and mine alone I fear
Since I met Madame Cocaine
