::: The City :::

city scavengers
bold and lonely. fester.
creep.
on a worse and sadder sidewalk
but I’m immobile,
safe indoors.

I hadn’t noticed.
safety with one-
just like the others-who
helps me in my
suicidal achievements, my
lonely genocide.

arguments of my
schizophrenic impressions
were experienced on
this blank face before.
like words. like pills;
the anesthesthia I’ve learned,
forced from restlessness and a
heavy chest that’s lighter
with blades and nails.
rust and cocaine are deflating an
empty shell..
long enough to feel an emptier nostalgia.

eyes to the floor,
I’m helpless to uncontrollable gazes.

I’m exposed. what’s worse?
I’m not opposed.
