::: Acid at a Beer party :::

Those freezing. city nights.
Gray, naked thighs
and cigarettes.
and the drunken guys who
knock on my
roaring, silent introspection.
Staring down the television
I’m screaming
keep on screaming
for an empty screen,
a noiseless scene
unlike this ear-splitting chaos
turned around our sleeplessness
like the new
compacted clock.

My buzzing, humming circulation
fiery blood
I walk. They can’t run
from my blue, sideways eyes
to the whiskey boys
holding knives to me
glaring fun against my rights.

Cut down these rotten limbs
still green inside
but I’m done.
