I got an uncle named Sam
But he doesn't give a damn
About who I am
He lives in his big white house
With its manicured lawn
Yet, I've never been invited
For the holidays or my birthday
And this has been since the day I was born
My uncle is always pointing at someone;
Wearing that ridiculous top hat
He's the one with all of the money
But he always has his hands in my pockets -
Yo, Unc, what's up with that?
He says that he wants you
But he doesn't even know my name,
I ask "Do you know who I am?"
He responds "What is your nine digit number?"
Aint' that a damn shame!
He tells me I'm not patriotic enough -
I tell him "I'm just tryin' to live"
He says "I don't do enough for my country"
"Sorry, but I don't have any blood to give"
