A Sista’s curl
Has a definition all it’s own
From the tight swirl
To the big loops
And hoops
It can swoop to the side
Or stretch out long and wide
But the curl is so versatile
An original style
Whether relaxed
Or braided
Even down the back
Or faded
The curl has a definition all its own
Some may try to pattern it
But they can’t seem to get
That same effect
How can one truly connect?
To a real curl
A true curl comes from the root
Like juice comes from the fruit
Our mane can be tight or loose
But it takes the ingredients
Of a true curl to produce
A Sista’s curl
