::: Tea :::

The Moon handed me an empty teacup
He said, ”This is what you need”.
I reached for the steaming teapot.
His words, I chose to believe.

In my cup he dropped a marble.
It had a blue – green sheen.
Then I tipped the teapot
and relished the herbal steam.

He motioned me to drink.
I sipped the minty herbs.
“This brew will help you write
using cunning little words”.

The Moon handed me some paper.
Then a feathered pen.
“The moment is precise. Perfect.
It's time you should begin.”

“Thank you,” I replied,
but my tongue was heavy and new!
I placed my hand before my lips
and spat out a marble that was blue.

I stretched my palm towards the Moon .
He said, ”It is yours to keep”.
I asked, ”If I plant this in the soil....”
“What fruit will I reap?”
