Minister and his Bag of Garbage
Minister, a Philadelphia native was born Joseph Xavier-Mack. He grew up in the southwest section of Philadelphia. He started writing at the age of 12 after seeing many productions from Philadelphia freedom theatre program. Too poor to afford classes , he started check out books and photo copy as many plays as he could, there he discovered, Langston Hughes and Ntozake Shange.  He begin to produce them and put them on in church basements at the age of 16years old. His first play was entitled “Are You Read?” a play themed with the name asking the world were they ready for Christ return. After many failed productions with his Gospel plays. He started to write more diverse and raunchy work, he has gone on to write three new plays that are in the works of being produced. Now at the age of 19years old, there is no stopping Minister from going all the way to the top.

::: Minor Inconvenience :::

If you could just smile one more time

My day would be so much better

If you could promise me we’d be together forever

I would give u anything

I would give up anything

And it’s strange because I don’t have anything

But if I did I would

How can you not say nothing

Is it me who is front’n

Or am I just jump’n to conclusions

And this is all an illusion

Of my sick desperate mind

To make you mine

Because our hearts were in twine

Just like that we were one

And just like that we were done

Fun

Come

Go

Stay

This is not the same sh*t you were talking yesterday

Saying you couldn’t wait for this day

And now I’m just a minor inconvenience

F*cking up your sh*t never mind the situation

Since the day of penetration

I have had no concentration

Just waiting for your return

Knowing it would come back tattered and burned

But it was none of your concern

Because I was just a minor inconvenience

Sucking your blood

Like I used to on your neck

Before he started to write checks

Which lead to your disrespect

But I still love you

Because you’ll be back…

Him

Her

It

me

Hiding

Us

Undercover

We

Not vindictive

But meaning everything

We wrestle with each other

Oh so secretly

Arguing in silence

Loving openly

We pretend to be what we wish to be

Without throwing away what we have to be

So close

Too close

That is closes

The open opportunity For unity

You and me

Should really consider

And ignore this minor inconvenience

The says we’re in agreement

But not seeing I to eye

Break- ups and bad days]

Random telephone calls

And birthdays

Just a minor inconvenience in our way

First and last

Probably never

But in my mind it could be whenever

You dig?

I dig

I dug

You spotted it

And I fell in love

What a minor inconvenience.
