::: Patience :::

I journey into the kingdom of patience.
What is it all worth?
Waiting?
Raindrops with wings fly into my face
And a dragonfly’s silence echoes near the pond

Still waiting by the queen’s shore with rolling waves
Twilight arrives and blackbirds encircle the sky
reflections of far off buildings in the distance merge
With the moon

And ghosts grow old and tired
retiring to heaven

I wait so long
That hearts fly in the sky
and the sun crashes into the canyons

all of my tomorrows have jumped off a pier into
those waves
those waves of tear dropped ink
of long lost words of love
Silence in your face
Curtains cover your heart
