::: A Lullaby for Rose :::

When rose asked for a lullaby-
all the songs had been sung
all but one
the sound of a heartbeat holds the rhythm of hope
a hope that through sleeping ears
it would all sound the same

I remember when air was free
When I was you and you were me
When time stood still
Raising its hands up to a golden sky
And just because could answer why
Come with me now
Let the night lay down
Leave the things you need
With the things we've found
I'll think of you
As you'll think of me
And we can both remember
when the air was free
