::: Eye of the beholder :::

I saw you standing there
gazing at yourself in the altogether
you've never seen yourself like this before
piercings not born out of the latest fad

gazing at yourself in the altogether
the feel of steel against your skin
piercings not born out of the latest fad
proud of the courage it took to walk your own road

the feel of steel against your skin
cold to the eye but warm from the bodies glow
proud of the courage it took to walk your own road
glad to be the man you were born to be

cold to the eye but warm from the bodies glow
steel & flesh & bone make up your eternal being
glad to be the man you were born to be
no longer shamed by imperfection of the skin

steel & flesh & bone make up your eternal being
created from dust & shaped by man
no longer shamed by imperfection of the skin
you've longed to be this content with who you are

created from dust & shaped by man
you've never seen yourself like this before
you've longed to be this content with who you are
I saw you standing there
