::: Still :::

I think of moon beams on the water
and the both of us giggling drunk under the boardwalk
a late summer breeze off the ocean to cool us
and I broke my toe
we were young and in love

Now years later with pilled up bills
and some broken dreams
and a residual ache from that broken toe
and
I can still say
I love him...
