::: Too Much Light :::

From afar I see a radiating light
Beauty overwhelms me and soothes my sight
Sore eyes disappear and I am lifted
I begin to feel like I’ve been gifted

Where is the darkness to what I hold

Blinded from too much light
Petrified from too much fright
Open my mind; gained insight
Understanding reached a new height

Only my soul knows the feeling
Only a thing like this could remove the ceiling
Awe, such amazing awe
Awe, such intense awe
Awe

A calming effect falls over me
I run towards the perfection that I see
It’s much too large to take full grasp
Like breathing all the air in one gasp

There’s a balance to all the world
Where’s the darkness to what I hold
Became apparent as the light consumed me
No turning back now; fused for eternity

Blinded from too much light
Petrified from too much fright
Open my mind; gained insight
Understanding reached a new height
