::: My Momma Sighed :::

My Momma Sighed
I was raised in the jungle in a hungry pride.
A hard life but everyday my momma tried
When she finally let me outside
”Stay out of trouble my momma said as my momma sighed”
She knew where I was going
Knew the street contained little rights
And tons of wrongs
So every morning before the school bell rung
And I left her side
”Stay out of trouble my momma said as my momma sighed”
Everyday she’d hold her head cause she knew
My pops was crazy and his son was too
So the more I grew I’d see it in her eyes
The later I came in and left out she’d cry
”Stay out of trouble my momma said as my momma sighed”
But don’t cry you raised me to be the man I am
So don’t worry I won’t fall pray to a homicide
Or rot in jail for the rest of my life
But every time the schools called
My momma felt like a failure when she tried
”Stay out of trouble my momma said as my momma sighed”
I’m sorry Momma
Lions are raised to live and die.
