::: Give the Prophet a Tambourine :::

The Devil is in the details again. That pesky Devil, hiding like a snake.
"If I was a snake I would have bit him," says the Devil. "That's how close
I am." A snake in the grass, but we're blessed by the rattle he carries.
Blessed by chains he, this devilish vapor, secretive viper, rattles in the attic.
Blessed by the forktongue hiss from the lips of these politicians
we happen to be cursed with. Damn, it's a curse,
but we blessed.
Blessed by the shaker, the nervous give-away,
the unmistakable drumroll, crash,
it makes us fast. Best
to be a piper and blow
your own tone over the
rat-a-tat-tat, combat
the hysterical hiss
of white noise,
mesmerize the Doctor
and give the prophet a tambourine.
Nevermind what it means.
