::: The Night My Stars Died :::

The night my stars died
I was sitting at the Sky Bar.
With the first shot my heart cried
and by the second, healed it’s scars.

I heard you were on meth again
and a supposed Christian born again.
Bad enough you turned my heart to sand
and left me for your new doped up boyfriend.

That word of mouth echoed
throughout the halls of my empty heart,
where once our blood flowed,
until you ripped it apart.

All night I saw people talking,
but couldn’t hear what they said.
Numb were my feet while walking
and on replay were your smiles in my head.

You tried calling me
and I answered with a promise
that no longer will you see
the man that held you on highest.

You destroyed my earth
and now have burned my stars.
Now I must rebirth
into a life without your bars.

The night my stars died
you lay in his arms.
Meantime, I was outside
watching all those falling stars...
