Just sitting on the side-walk
the sky is heavy
the night is slow to come
and my city looks tired
of all this sh*t.
some clouds get red, pink
then grey and black.
another night in the world
and I still miss words
to explain my feelings.
I've got so much hate
so much love
and so much sorrow.
It's all mixed up in my head
my brain's about to blow up.
what I'm looking for
must look like a diamond
so bright!
I see it sometimes
in the eyes of women
and when I'm like that,
sitting on the side-walk
I feel I can almost reach it.
But I never do,
that's the rule
I suffer of half-awarness
like an angel with no wings
like a girl who never had an orgasm
like a coke addict who wants to get higher

So I'm here
now standing on the side-walk.
a car gets out of a building spitting
some black and stinky smoke.
On the ground,
a pigeon is struggling
to swallow something nasty.
I press my teeth against each other
I don't cry anymore
I just have that dark look
that scares my mother.
My brother told me:
"don't do anything stupid"
"It's cool, I won't let you down" I said
We're all in the same boat, same mess
impossible quest.

I'm still standing on the side-walk.
a prostitute comes
down the street
and asks me for a cigarette.
I know her, she doesn't work in this part of town.
Reality's decomposing anyway,
things are not the same
and I don't know where I'm going.
