On the inside of a New York bar
Johnny’s, Milk & Honey, APT
Or a public bathroom
It is no longer graffiti
Disgrace is a more appropriate word for it

But, maybe during the course
Of the drinks and downloads
Maybe,

On the inside it becomes a secret
A possibility of a crass
Private conversation
And
Only when it is extracted
May America be saved?

This, our new urban Rothko
Made possible by you,
The beautiful, tragic train-public at large
