To ask you
To do me a favor
But
I forget
What it is.

If it must
Be called that
It is
I believe
The way the mind thinks
In abstract rots
Stinks and arabesques
Blood, water and Wine
For Valentine
At the bottom
Of an L.A. Playboy Pool

And you know
This is the way
The blade falls
The way life begins
And ends
Keeps wanting
To ask you
For a favor
That left after the dream
And the shower
And the coffee

But...

Would you?
Please,
Invite the elephants
To Breakfast?
Please...
Before the blade falls?

And my life begins
And fountains
Away-
