::: Time :::

What a peculiar thing time is
How it can deceive
How it can disguise

On lonely nights filled with sorrow
Time rolls by so slowly
Like a half frozen river
Fighting its way
Through the obstacles of winter
It tries to force its way
But soon it is realized
There is no fighting the ice
Or the time
You must wait it out
Soon the ice will melt
The clock will chime
The river will never perish
The clock will never stop

On beautiful nights filled with love
Time hurries by so swiftly
Like that same river after the snow melts
Sloshing away to its next destination
Flowing over any obstacle
It forces it way
It is soon realized
Nothing can slow this waterway
Or the time
You must just ride the waves
Soon the overflow will evaporate
The clock will chime
The full river will never delay
The clock will never slow

I know this is not fair
It does not make sense
Don’t detest the clock
It is not its fault I assure you
A second is a second
A minute is a minute
A moment is a moment
What we must remember
Is to appreciate these long moments
To cherish these brief moments

Time is funny.
It has a way of tricking us
To making us think one
Is not as special as the next
When in reality every moment
Long or short
Makes up a life time.
