::: Trees :::

Out of my chest
Blooms a forest.
Intertwined and majestic.
Blossoms of hope
And withering nostalgia.
The shade keeps my blood cool
And my mind at peace.
Above this canopy,
In the air I dare not breathe,
The pollution
Of farewell lies
Will poison my trees.
But here
Under the tarp
Of my much treasured
Leaves.
Is pure oxygen
For my soul to drink.
My lungs fill up
And out it pours
Into my forest abundant.
And we will breathe
Together
Forever more.
