Rick Ross Rise to Power

::: Rick Ross - Rise to Power :::

Why does Rick Ross Rise to Power sounds like a blast from the past? That's because Rick Ross Rise to Power album was supposed to be released in the year 2000. The Rise to Power album was released on Suave House Records not Def Jam. Rick Ross is still signed to Def Jam / Slip-N-Slide, and IS NOT currently a part of Suave House Records. Back in 2000 Rick Ross signed with Suave Hose owner Tony Draper. So of course Suave House still owns the masters. The album was made late in 2000 but was not released due to a failed joint distribution deal between Jcor entertainment and Interscope Records. Because of this failed deal, Rick Ross was allowed to sign with Def Jam / Slip-N-Slide in 2002 and released his debut album Port of Miami.

Now that you know the history, go buy the album if you want to get a feel for Rick Ross before he became famous. Rise to Power is truly a blast from the past. By the way Rick Ross real name is William Roberts.

Rick Ross Rise to Power: Released in stores on 9/18/07.

Rick Ross Port of Miami

::: Rick Ross - Port of Miami :::

Who said a dope boy from Miami can't make it big! Rick Ross was gindin' several years before his big hit "Push It" was released to the world. Some dummies on the radio thought that the lyrics were "Push it to the Left", but it's actually "Push It to the Limit". Simply put I love this the Rick Ross "Port of Miami" album. Rick Ross set a new bench mark for artists claiming " Dade County "(a county in south Florida for those who don't know). Rick Ross songs "Hustlin'" and "Push It" aren't the only hits on this album. I'm really feelin' "Cross that Line" featuring Akon and "Pots and Pans featuring J Rock". I won't take this out of my rotation 'til at least New Years!!!

Honorable Mentions

  • Blow featuring Dre
  • For Da Low
  • Get Away featuring Mario Winans
  • White House
  • Street Life featuring Llyod

Over all the Rick Ross Port of Mi album will be a classic, if you haven't purchased this album go out and BUY three! Don't burn it support Rick Ross, shouts out to Poe Boy entertainment and Slip-N-Slide Records.
