::: Bobby Valentino: Special Occasion :::

Mr. "Slow Down" is back with his sophomore album "Special Occasion" and I must say it's mediocre at best.  He has a few catchy songs such as "Anonymous" feat. Timbaland and "Rearview (Ridin')" feat. Ludacris but the other 13 songs still have that "Slow Down" feel going on. None of the songs sound any different from those on his first album.  I will say that he did do Babyface justice by killing his remake of "Soon as I Get Home". One good thing about his album is that a few of the songs, especially "Can't Wait Till Later" are perfect for one of those romantic evenings. Bobby is definitely true to his roots, sticking with the formula that made him famous in the first place. Though he's on the DTP label and he's got noteworthy featured artists, it's not enough to keep this album above water. It's all right, but may not worth the buy.
